Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Overview
Phil Braunstein Insurance ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We are an independent licensed insurance agency.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as:
- Identifiers: name, address, email, and phone number.
- Insurance-related details: coverage type, dates of birth, vehicle or property details, and claims history you provide.
- Communications: the contents of messages and quote requests you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically.
We may receive additional information from our carrier partners and data sources to prepare quotes and service your policy.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Prepare insurance quotes and place coverage with carriers.
- Communicate with you about your inquiry, policy, and claims.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and underwriting requirements.
- Provide customer support and policy servicing.
- Send marketing or promotional communications, where you have consented and have not opted out.
Telephone & SMS Communications (TCPA)
By submitting your phone number and checking the consent box on our contact form, you authorize Phil Braunstein Insurance to contact you at the number provided — including via SMS, automated dialing systems, and prerecorded or artificial voice messages — regarding your inquiry and insurance options, even if your number is on a Do-Not-Call registry. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not share or sell your SMS opt-in information — your phone number and your consent to receive text messages — to any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes. Your SMS opt-in information is shared only with our SMS service provider as needed to deliver the messages you requested, and is not used for any other purpose without your consent.
Mobile information. Your mobile information (including your mobile phone number) will not be shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share your mobile information on a limited basis only with subcontractors and service providers who support our operations — such as customer service, policy servicing, and message delivery — and solely to the extent necessary for them to perform those services on our behalf. Such subcontractors are bound to protect your information and are prohibited from using it for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any SMS, emailing us, or calling our office. Quote- and service-related messages about a specific inquiry may still be sent unless you opt out of all communications.
Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect; request deletion of your personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity before responding. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.
Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain other states (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing of personal data. Contact us to submit a request.
Data Security & Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide services and comply with legal and regulatory record-keeping requirements.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
